The Numerous Benefits of Emigrating to the USA
If you are not from the USA, you may wonder whether or not it is a good idea to live there. It is very hard to imagine what a country is actually like when you only know what you see in popular culture.
If you were to believe everything that you see in movies and documentaries, the USA is either the place where all your dreams will come true magically, without having to work for it, or it is the place where gang warfare still dominates the street and you can’t invite people to your home in case they slip and sue you.
The reality is that neither of these two is true. There are positives and negatives to the United States, but the positives are certainly something to take into consideration.
Bigger Is Definitely Better
The Americans always say that bigger is better and they implement this all through their life. They have bigger roads, bigger cars, bigger burgers and so on. Everything is super convenient, they even have drive-through cashpoints. However, it isn’t just man-made things that are bigger and better.
The US has bigger trees, bigger rivers, bigger parks, bigger mountains, bigger wildlife, bigger everything basically. So yeah, if you don’t want to feel claustrophobic, the US is the place to go for you.
A Variety of People
Next, you have to consider Americans themselves. There are so many different people there! There are the ancient Irish and Italian immigrants, there are the Native Americans, there are the African American slavery descendants, there are the old Chinese immigrants.
There are new immigrants from Mexico, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. The cultural variety is unbelievable and it is hard to define what “an American” actually is.
However, there is one way to recognize a real American and that is in that they appear very enthusiastic. For instance, they will immediately tell you that you are the most amazing, fantastic and wonderful person they have ever met and any idea you come up with is truly mind-blowingly fantastic.
This is pure friendliness and you will soon adapt to this way of life, potentially even incorporating it in your own life. After all, there is nothing wrong with giving people compliments, since it makes them feel better about themselves.
Everything Is Cheap
The very best thing about the US, however, is that everything is seriously cheap. They may complain about how much they have to pay for a gallon of fuel, but the price is peanuts compared to other countries.
Technology is so cheap that they are practically giving it away (although you do have to check that their technology also works in your home country because they use a different type of voltage).
Clothing, particularly through outlet stores, is so cheap that you can stock up on a brand new wardrobe and not even have to worry about how you’re going to pay for it. And food! You will never go hungry if you are in the United States, with the incredible variety, the incredible size of the meals, the amazing taste, and the unbelievably low prices.
